In 1851 Azubah Hichens, aged 74, born in Kenwyn Cornwall, widow, occupier of house & land, was living in Tregea, Illogan, Cornwall. With her were daughter Caroline Hichens (40) of Illogan, unmarried, son Richard Hichens (36) of Illogan, unmarried, mine agent, and grandchild Charles Hichens Quick (4) of St. Just.

At her residence, Tregea, in Illogan, on the 6th inst., in the 84th year of her age, much beloved and respected, Azubah, relict of the late Mr. Hichens.

(John Hichens was born in 1772 in Illogan, Cornwall, christened there 18 Feb 1773, died on 19 May 1850 in Tregea, Illogan, Cornwall, and was buried on 23 May 1850 in Redruth, Cornwall, aged 78 years.)
