In 1861 Caroline Hichens, aged 52, born in Illogan Cornwall was housekeeper for her brother Rihard Hitchens [sic], sampling agent, in Tregea House, Illogan.

At Redruth, September 28, after a lingering illness, Caroline, eldest daughter of the late Mr. John Hichens, Tregay, Illogan, and sister of Mr. Richard Hichens, sampler for the Freeman Copper Company, aged 59.
