In 1653 Michael Hill the son of Francis Hill was a beneficiary of the will of his grandfather John Hill of Wendron, gent., receiving his lands and tenements in Trenethick and Boswen in the parish of Wendron.

Michael married Frances Manaton, daughter of Sampson Manington of Manington, Esq. and Mary Gorges, on 3 Jun 1654 in Wendron, Cornwall. (Frances Manaton was born about 1616 in South Hill, Cornwall and was buried on 10 Feb 1699/1700 in Wendron, Cornwall.)
