Abstract of the Will of Mary Hill of the Parish of Wendron in the County of Cornwall, Gentlewoman, written 25 May 1700, proved 26 Oct 1721. 2
Gives £5 to the poor of the parish of Wendron.
Gives £3 to the poor of any other parish where she may die.
Gives £20 to her brother Sampson Hill, Esqr, and a guinea of gold to his wife to buy her a ring.
Gives £50 to her nephew Sampson Hill, son of her brother Sampson Hill, to be paid to him when he turns twenty-one.
Gives £50 to her nephew Jonathan Hill, son of her brother Sampson Hill, to be paid to him when he turns twenty-one.
Gives £50 to her brother Mr. Francis Hill, and to his wife she gives a guinea of gold to buy her a ring, and her best suit of clothes, both linen and woollen.
Gives £50 to her nephew Mr. John Hill, son of her brother Francis Hill, to be paid to him when he turns twenty-one.
Gives £100 to Mrs. Frances Hill, daughter of her brother Francis Hill, to be paid to her when she turns twenty-one.
Gives £10 to her uncle William Hill.
Gives £20 to her kinswoman Mrs. Mary Penhallowe, the daughter of Mr. Emanuel Penhallowe, and all her clothes both linen and woollen, except her best suit.
Gives £5 to Mrs. Menell Mayowe, daughter of Mr. John Mayowe of Truro.
Gives £3 to her goddaughter Mary Thomas.
Gives 20 shillings to Blanch the daughter of William Alexander.
All the rest of her goods, chattels and effects she gives to her brother John Hill, Gent., whom she appoints sole executor of her will.
