In 1710 Joanna was named in the Will of her great-aunt Christian Bennett of Rodborough in co. Gloucester, widow.

In 1725 Joanna was bequeathed £1000 in her father's Will.

In 1729 Joanna was bequeathed £200 in the Will of her maternal grandfather, John Gallimore of Wootton Bassett, Gent., of which Will she was also a residuary legatee.

Abstract of the Will of Joanna Richmond of Ashton Keynes in the County of Wilts, spinster, written 11 May 1767, proved 27 Jan 1769. 3

Gives and bequeaths to William Neat of Devizes in co. Wilts, mercer, and to Robert Neat his son £1000 in Trust for her nephew Edward Richmond Nicholas, and after his decease for his son John Nicholas. And if John Nicholas should die before he reaches the age of twenty-one years or has married, then the said sum should go to John's brother Robert Nicholas. And if both John Nicholas and Robert Nicholas should die before they reach their respective ages of twenty-one years, then the said sum should go to her sister Jane Richmond.

All the rest and residue of her goods, chattels and personal estates she gives and bequeaths to her said sister Jane Richmond whom she makes and constitutes sole executrix of her last will and testament.
