In 1841 Nancy Hichens wife of William F. Shaw of Devonshire Place Bath was a beneficiary of her father's will.

In 1841 Nancy Shaw, aged about 35, not born in the county, and husband William F Shaw, aged about 30, not born in the county, schoolmaster, were living in Devonshire Buildings, Lyncombe and Widcombe, Bath, Somerset. With them were (sons) William Shaw (2) and John Shaw (1 month), neither born in the county. Also present was (Nancy's mother) Ann Jenkyns (70), ind[ependent].

In 1851 Nancy Hichens Shaw, aged 45, born in St. Ives Cornwall, and husband William Flamank Shaw, aged 44, born in Stroud, Glos, were living at 2 Devonshire Place, Lyncombe & Widcombe, Bath, Somerset.

In 1861 Nancy H Shaw, aged 55, born in St. Ives, and husband William F Shaw, aged 54, born in Stroud Glouc., schoolmaster, were living in Devonshire Place, Lyncombe & Widcombe, Bath, Somerset. With them were son John (19) of Bath, assistant teacher, nephew Charles Jenkyns (20) of Sennen Cornwall, medical student.

In August 1884 Nancy Hichens Shaw, widow, was the sole executrix of her late husband's will.
