With them were children (born in Hayle, single) Grace Lobb (29), school teacher, Frederick (19), errand boy, and Mary Ellen (15), mother's help.
In 1921 John Vivian, aged 77 years 10 months, born in Camborne, engineer's fitter (retired), and wife Jane Vivian, aged 73 years 8 months, born in Phillack, home duties, were living in Bodriggy, Hayle. With them were children (born in Phillack, single) Minnie (37y 2m), home duties, Frederick (30y 1m), general labourer, and Nellie (25y 6m), dressmaker.

THE LATE MR. JOHN VIVIAN, OF HAYLE.
We regret to record the death of Mr. John Vivian, of Bodriggy-street, Hayle, who died on Nov. 16, aged 87 years. For over fifty years he worked for Messrs. Harvey and Co. as an engineer. For the last few years he had led a retiring life, but in his younger days he took a very active part in the welfare of the Wesleyan churches, and was one of the original members of Artillery Volunteer band in the early sixties.
The internment took place on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Phillack, the Rev. A. Wills officiating. The mourners were : Mrs. G. Powell (daughter), Mr. W. Vivian (son), Miss M. Vivian (daughter), Mr. F. Vivian (son), Miss B. Vivian (daughter), Mr. H. Miles (nephew), Mr. S. Taylor (cousin), Mr. T. Sloman (nephew), Capt. J. Couch, Mr. H. Williams, Mr. W. Stephen, Mr. W. Couch, Mr. G. Wilkes, Mr. J. B. James, Mr. Vivian (Newquay), Mr. A. Jenkin, Mr. H. Murt, Mr. A. Harvey, Mr. N. Bailey, Mr. J. T. Hosking....
.... Sympathy is felt for his bereaved sons, Messrs. J. H. and J. C. Vivian (Johannesburg), and Mrs. Webb (daughter), Calcutta. He will be very much missed in his native town, being one of the oldest inhabitants.
