In 1921 Ena E. V. Rowe, aged 23, born in Camborne Cornwall, shorthand typist for Messr. Holman Bros. Ltd., was with her widowed mother in Meadowside, Camborne, Cornwall.
In the 1939 Register Edith E V Penberthy (b. 1 Jun 1902*), unpaid domestic duties, and husband James S Penberthy (b. 24 Feb 1902), mining engineer, were living at 6 The Crescent, Camborne, Cornwall. At the same address was [one record officially closed].

WEDDING AT CAMBORNE.
PENBERTHY—ROWE
The marriage was solemnised at the parish church, Camborne, on Wednesday (the Rev. G. B. Hooper officiating), of James Sandow Penberthy, only son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Penberthy of "Lallant," Lelant, Cornwall, and Ena Edith Vivian, youngest daughter of Mrs. Rowe and the late Henry Rabling Rowe, of "Meadowside," Treswithian, Camborne. The bride was attired in a travelling dress of blue, trimmed in a grey fur, with hat and shoes to match. She carried a sheaf of pink carnations and asparagus fern, and was given away by Mr. J. P. Harvey of Hammerfield House, Lowertown, Helston, friend of the family, and Mr. Harry Sandow, of "East View," Lelant (cousin of the bridegroom) carried out the duties of best man. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Zoe H. M. Rowe, who wore a lido-blue dress with hat, shoes and stockings to tone. Dr. H. V. Pearce, of Bournemouth (cousin of the bride) presided at the organ. The bride and bridegroom motored straight from the church to Truro, to catch the Riviera for London, where the honeymoon is being spent. The bridegroom was a former student at the Camborne School of Mines, and has just returned from the Gold Coast, while the bride is well known in musical circles of the west.
