"A Daughter of Hayle"
The daughters of the late Mrs. Edith Vivian Rowe (nee James), of Meadowside, Camborne, who was born at Hayle on Oct. 21, 1886 [sic], and who died at Camborne on Feb. 24, 1947, have prepared a notable memoir, and the facts are illustrated, with an impressive portrait, which will long be preserved by many of her surviving relatives and friends. Mrs. Rowe inherited much of the family's musical ability and vivacious temperament. A niece of the late Mr. Vivian Pearce and a cousin of Dr. H. V. Pearce, Cornwall's Doctor of Music, with whom she spent most of her young days, she was also a niece of the Misses James who were principals of a girls' school in Hayle and was also a direct descendant of the distinguished families of Arundell and Vivian. Her husband was Henry Rabling Rowe. She leaves two daughters, Miss Zoe Rowe and Mrs. Ena Edith Vivian Penberthy and her son-in-law Mr. J. S. Penberthy, holds a mining appointment in South America.
