At the time of the 1861 England Census George Spackman, aged 9, born in Wootton Bassett Wilts, scholar, was with his parents in High Street, Wootton Bassett.

In June 1870 William George Spackman was present at the marriage of his brother Francis Young Spackman to Amelia Elizabeth Phillips in Limehouse Middlesex.

At the time of the 1891 England Census George W Spackman, aged 39, born in Wootton Bassett Wilts, foreman of chemical works, and [2nd] wife Mary, aged 27, born in Marseilles France (B.S.), were living at 110 Turners Rd., Mile End Old Town, London. With them were children (born in Mile End Old Town) George T (2) and Mary C (8 mo).

At the time of the 1901 England Census George H Spackman [sic], aged 49, born in Wootton Bassett Wilts, factory manager, and wife Mary, aged 37, born in France (BS), were living at 110 Turners Rd., Mile End Old Town, London. With them were children (born in Mile End) George T (12), Mary C (10), William J (6), Lottie E (5), Annie B (7 months), and aunt Susan Child (60) of Wootton Bassett, married, helper to wife.

At the time of the 1911 England Census George W Spackman, aged 59, born in Wootton Bassett Wilts, retired, and wife of 23 years Mary, aged 46, born in France (of Scottish parentage), were living at 62 Ropery Street Mile End Old Town, London. With them were children (born in Mile End) George T (22), warehouseman, Mary C (20), waittress, William J (16), tailor's apprentice, Lottie E (15), ostrich feather apprentice, Frank H (12), school, and Rose L (8), school.
