At the time of the 1851 England Census Young Spackman, aged 42, born in Wootton Bassett, plasterer (pensioner), and wife Mary Spackman, aged 24, born in Wootton Bassett Wilts, were living in High Street, Wootton Bassett. With them were children (born in Wootton Bassett) Sarah (5), scholar, Caroline (3), scholar, and Francis (1).

At the time of the 1861 England Census Young Spackman, aged 52, born in Wootton Bassett, plasterer, and wife Mary Ann Spackman, aged 36, born in Wootton Bassett Wilts, were living in High Street, Wootton Bassett. With them were children (born in Wootton Bassett) Francis (11), scholar, George (9), scholar, Amelia (6), scholar, and Henry (4), scholar.

At the time of the 1871 England Census Young Spackman, aged 60, born in Wootton Bassett, plasterer, was lodging in Station Road, Wootton Bassett. Wife Mary Ann and son Henry were in Wood Street.

At the time of the 1881 England Census Young Spackman, aged 71, born in Wootton Bassett, plasterer, was a pauper inmate in Purton Workhouse, Wilts.
