With them were children (born in Wootton Bassett) Sarah (5), scholar, Caroline (3), scholar, and Francis (1).
At the time of the 1861 England Census Young Spackman, aged 52, born in Wootton Bassett, plasterer, and wife Mary Ann Spackman, aged 36, born in Wootton Bassett Wilts, were living in High Street, Wootton Bassett.
