William Penberthy appears in the 1832 and 1834 Helston Voters Lists, then residing in Church Street.
In 1841 William Penberthy, aged 59, builder, and wife Mary, aged 56, were living on Church St., Helston Borough. Present were children: William (28), builder, Frederick (20), draper's ap., Mary (18), servants Susan Oliver (24), Grace Williams (19)
In 1851 William Penberthy, aged 69, born in Helston, builder & master auctioneer, employing 6 men & 4 boys, and wife Mary, aged 66, born in Helston, were living on Church St., Helston. Present were daughters (born in Helston): Mary C. (28), Emily (21), servants Elizabeth Ralph (30) of Helston, unmarried, Mary Gay (28) of Helston, unmarried.
On 2 May 1851 William Penberthy of the borough of Helston, architect, was granted Administration of the goods &c of his son William Colliver Penberthy.
