  Research Notes:

Mary daughter of John Vine of Wilmington, farrier, and Sarah (baptismal record)

--------------------------

At the time of the 1841 England Census Mary Sinnock, aged about 26, and husband John Sinnock, aged about 27, gate keeper, were living in Turnpike, St John Hampstead, Edmonton, Middlesex. With them was daughter Sarah, aged about 4. None of them were born in the county.

Mary's husband, John Sinnock, is shown as widowed at the time of the 1851 England Census. A Mary Sinnock was buried on 2 Apr 1844 in St. John sub Castro Lewes Sussex, aged 30 years; however, it seems unlikely that this is the correct Mary, given that she and her family were in London in 1841, and her husband and daughter were still there in 1851. It is possible that the family were in Lewes during the mid 1840s but this cannot be assumed, despite there being neither a burial record for a Mary Sinnock in Middlesex during the 1840s nor an entry in the GROE death index.

  Marriage Information:

Mary married John Sinnock, son of Thomas Sinnock and Mary Fennall, on 18 Sep 1835 in Wilmington, Sussex, England. (John Sinnock was born in 1812 in Selmeston, Sussex, England, was christened there on 3 Jan 1813, and died on 7 Jul 1884 at 19 Chetwynd Rd., St. Pancras, London, England, aged 72 years.)
