In Sep 1835 Elizabeth Vine was a witness at the marriage of her sister Mary Vine to John Sinnock in Wilmington.

At the time of the 1841 England Census Elizabeth Gates, aged about 30, and husband Henry Gates, aged about 30, were living in Edward St., Brighthelmstone St. Peter, Sussex. With them was daughter Marian* (aged about 1).

* In all other records she is shown as Miriam.
