In 1861 Louisa McD Owld, aged 5, born in Falmouth Cornwall, was with her grandparents James Owld (57) of Falmouth, shoe maker, and Mary Owld (53) of St. Keverne, in Stills yard, Falmouth.
In 1871 Louisa McDowell Ould, aged 15, was again with her grandfather James Ould (67) of Falmouth, widower & shoemaker, in Church Street Still Yard, Falmouth.
In 1921 Louisa McDowell Chard, aged 65 years 3 months, home duties, and husband Uriah John Chard, aged 65 years 11 months, trinity pilot, retired through ill health, were living at 4 Merrill Place, Falmouth. With them were granddaughters (born in Devonport) Marjorie Winifred West (10y 6m), Phyllis J. West (9y 1m) and Elsie Louisa West (7y 8m).

The death took place at Falmouth on Friday of Mrs. Louisa Chard, widow of Mr. U. Chard, Deceased, who was 79 years of age, had been an invalid for some time.

Louisa married Uriah John Chard, son of Henry Chard and Letitia Pearce, on 29 Apr 1875 at the Register Office, Falmouth, Cornwall. (Uriah John Chard was born in 1855 in Falmouth, Cornwall and was buried on 20 Apr 1926 in Falmouth, Cornwall, aged 70 years.)
