In 1835 Charles Welsford of Mylor, schoolmaster, was co-executor and trustee of the will of William Pearce of Mylor, whose granddaughter, Ursula, he married shortly thereafter.

In 1841 Charles Welsford, aged about 38, not born in the county, school m[aster] and wife Ursulla Welsford, aged about 20, born in the county, were living on Coventry St., Mylor with children Charles (5) and Margret (6 weeks).
In 1851 Charles Welsford, aged 50, born in Exeter Devon, schoolmaster, and wife Lucilia [Ursula] Welsford, aged 33, born in Mylor Bridge Cornwall, straw miliner, were living in Stibcross, Langtree, Devon. With them were children Charles (15) of Flushing Cornwall, farm servant, Juliana Anna (5) of Flushing, scholar, Nathaniel B. (2) of Brentar Devon, and John W. (10 months) of Langtree.
