At the time of the 1871 England Census Susan Mepham, age 13, born in Nine Elms Surrey, scholar, was with her aunt Clara Dray* of St. Martin's Lane Middlesex, widow, china dealer, at 16 Upper North St., Poplar London.

* Three years later Clara married Susan's widowed father Richard Mepham.

At the time of the 1881 England Census Susan Walsham, age 22, born in Nine Elms Surrey, and husband William Walsham, age 21, born in Poplar Middx, genl. laborer, were living at 48 Park St., Poplar London.

At the time of the 1891 England Census Susan Walsham, age 32, born in Nine Elms Surrey, and husband William Walsham, age 32, born in Poplar London, general labourer, were living at 58 Park St., Poplar London.
