  Research Notes:

In November 1807 Wm Brown and Elizabeth Cleave were present at the marriage of William's sister Margaret Brown to William Moyle in St. Kew Cornwall.

In 1811 William Brown was a beneficiary of the will of his aunt Joanna Brown of St. Kew, widow, who left him 2 guineas.

In 1841 William Brown, aged about 55, school master, and wife Elizabeth Brown, aged about 55, both born in the county, were living in Pendogget, St. Kew, Cornwall.

Abstract of the Will of William Brown of Pendogett in the Parish of St. Kew and County of Cornwall, Yeoman, written 13 Jan 1844, proved 12 Jun 1847. 2

Whereas by a marriage settlement he secured to his wife Elizabeth Brown the annual sum of £20, he now gives to his wife the house he now lives in, most of the household furniture, along with the said annuity for life.

Gives in trust to his nephew John Morcombe Moyle his tenement or field of land called Curhill, as well as a tenement of land formerly called Jose's Tenement, otherwise Lane End & Lower Ground Tenement, the Lower Ground Tenement having already been sold to the said John Morcombe Moyle.

Gives the rest of his tenements to John Morcombe Moyle, in trust.

Gives to his niece Joanna Hawken out of the tenement of Lane End & Curhill or Trebrown's one third of the annual rents, and to his niece Margaret Johns and nephew John Morcombe Moyle the remaining thirds.

Gives to his niece Joanna Hawken the sideboard which stands in the parlour at Trebrown's. Also gives her use of the same room, his mahogany table with Pembroke ends.

Gives to his nephew John Morcombe Moyle his mahogany bureau.

Gives to his niece Margaret Johns after his wife's decease the ancient corner cupboard.

All the rest of his estate and effects he gives to his nephew John Morcombe Moyle, whom he appoints sole executor of his last will and testament.
