In 1781 William was named as a beneficiary in his father's will, to receive his dwelling house in Morral Lane in Penzance when he turns twenty-one.

In 1803 William Mitchell, surgeon in His Majesty's Service, was a beneficiary of the will of his aunt Constance Warner of Putney, widow, who left him £500.

This could be William Michell of the town of Penzance who married Joan Runnells in Madron on 29 Sep 1794.
