Abstract of the Will of Houghton Vivian of the Parish of Gwennap in the County of Cornwall, written 5 Nov 1808, proved 8 May 1809. ³

Gives to his son Matthew Vivian one shilling.

Gives to his son John Vivian one shilling.

Gives £3 to his daughter Mary now the wife of Robert Northy, to be paid out of his estate in Treveathan.

Gives £3 to his daughter Allis the widow of John Julin, to be paid as above.

Gives £4 a year for five years to his daughter Ann the wife of Tobias Richards, to be paid as above.

Gives £4 a year for five years to his daughter Elizabeth the wife of Abraham Rylph, to be paid as above.

Gives £4 a year for twelve years to his daughter Cathrine, to be paid as above.

Gives to his grandsons James Vivian son of Houghton Vivian deceased, and to Houghton Vivian son of Matthew Vivian, and to Joseph Rylph son of Abraham Rylph, all his clothing, share and share alike.

Gives to his daughter Ann Richards his books and the care of his bed and bedding until his daughter Cathrine returns.

All the rest of his goods, monies, estates, chattels and other effects he gives to his grandson Joseph Vivian son of Matthew Vivian of the parish of Gwennap, whom he appoints sole executor of his will.
