In 1911 Edward Paynter, aged 64, born in St. Ives, joiner, and wife of 41 years Phillippa Paynter, aged 63, born in St. Ives (mother of 5 children, 1 deceased), were living in Gabriel Street, St. Ives. With them were children (born in St. Ives, single) Phillippa (39), assistant mistress, Bessie (36) and Seymour (20), tobacconist.
In 1921 Edward Paynter, aged 74 years 6 months, born in St. Ives, joiner & painter (own account), and wife Phillippa Vivian Paynter, aged 73 years 3 months, born in St. Ives, home duties, were in Gabriel Street, St. Ives. With them was daughter Phillippa Cogar Paynter (51y 10m) of St. Ives, single, assistant teacher, elementary school.
