In 1871 Vivian Wearne, aged 29, born in Helston, unmarried, assistant surgeon (Army), was with his widowed mother in Meneage St., Helston.

In 1891 Vivian Wearne, aged 49, born in Helston, brigade surgeon, and wife Adela M. F. Wearne, aged 34, born in Jamaica West Indies, were living at 16 Morrab Rd., Penzance, Cornwall.

Surgeon-Lieutenant-Colonel Vivian Wearne died at Spitzbergen, Jamaica, on October I5th. He entered the service as Assistant Surgeon, March 31st, I865; became Surgeon, March 1st, I873; and Surgeon Major, February 14th, I878. He retlred with the honorary rank of Brigade-Surgeon, April 7th, 1886. 5
