In 1841 William Paynter, aged about 80, born in the county, ind[ependent], was living in Churchtown, St. Issey, Cornwall. William's son, Francis, was nextdoor.

Abstract of the Will of William Paynter of Perleese within the Parish of St. Breock in the County of Cornwall, Gentleman, written 3 Feb 1835, proved 14 Jul 1841. 2
Gives an annuity of £10 to his daughter Ann Udy wife of James Vivian for and during their joint lives, to be paid out of his lands and tenements called Perleese.
Gives an annuity of £10 to his daughter Jane the wife of John Curgenven for and during their joint lives, to be paid out of his lands and tenements called Perleese.
Gives a legacy of £10 to his daughter Jane Curgenven.
Gives to his son William Paynter an Assurance Policy which was assigned to the testator by his son-in-law James Vivian whereby £360 is to be paid to the testator or his executors on the death of the said James Vivian, to be held in trust by his son William for the benefit of the said Ann Udy Vivian.
Gives £10 each to the children of his daughter Ann Udy Vivian, namely James Vivian, Mary Anne Vivian, Jane Paynter Vivian, Eliza Vivian and Katherine Vivian.
Gives £10 each to the children of his daughter Jane Curgenven, namely William Curgenven, James Curgenven and Jane Paynter Curgenven.
Gives £10 each to the children of his daughter Catharine Burall, namely Edward Burall and Catherine Paynter Burall.
Gives £50 to his grandson William Paynter, son of his son Francis Paynter.
Gives to his eldest son Francis Paynter all his messuages, houses, their gardens and premises in the village of St. Issey in co. Cornwall, and also his messuages, lands, tenements &c. called Belovely in the parish of Roche in the said county, and his tin stream works and tin bounds in the parishes of Roche and Luxulyan. After the death of his son Francis, he gives the same to his grandson Francis Paynter, son of his said son Francis.
Gives to his son Francis Paynter his leasehold tenement in the village of Gluvian in the parish of St. Columb Major, and a field called Biddicks Vurgus Field.
Gives to his son James Paynter his freehold lands, tenements &c. called Hallwyn in the parish of St. Issey, and his estate, right and interest in a tenement called Luke Tom's Close otherwise Burgus tenement in St. Issey.
Gives £400 to his son James Paynter.
Gives his manor called Perleese to his son William Paynter.
All the rest of his real and personal estate, goods and chattels, he gives to his son William Paynter and his heirs, appointing him sole executor of his last will and testament.
