In 1901 William Eddy, aged 45, born in Camborne Cornwall, Inland Revenue Officer, and wife Ada L. Eddy, aged 38, born in St. Martin Hereford, were living at 10 Haniforth Rd., West Ham, Essex. With them were children: Leon (12) of Penzance, and Ethelwyn (3) of Stratford Essex.

CAMBORNE MAN BURNED TO DEATH.
Mr. William Eddy, brother of Mr. Chas. W. Eddy, rate collector of Camborne, met with a shocking death in a serious fire which occurred at the distillery of Messrs. J. and W. Nicholson, Bromley-by-Bow, London, on Tuesday. The fire broke out in the spirit room in the centre of the distillery, and when it had been extinguished the body of Mr. Eddy, who was in the Excise service, was found between two tanks. Deceased was just over fifty years of age, and leaves a widow and family.
