At the time of the 1861 England Census Ally Jefferies, aged 78, born in Wootton Bassett Wilts, widow of a wharfinger, was living at Vastern Wharf, Wootton Bassett. With her was son Francis (35) of Wootton Bassett, ag. laborer.
