  In 1851 William Phillips (34) of Gwithian, ag lab, and wife Honor (24) of Gwithian were living in Churchtown, Gwithian, Cornwall. At home were children (born in Gwithian): William Francis (6), scholar, Mary Jane (1).
  
   In 1859 Wm Phillips was a witness at the marriage in Gwithian of his niece Louisa Mary Phillips to John Cock. 
  In 1861 William Phillips (44) of Gwithian, ag lab, and wife Honor (34) of Gwithian were living in Churchtown, Gwithian. Present were children (born in Gwithian): William Francis (16), blacksmith, Benjamin (10), farmer's boy, Phillippa Skewis (8), scholar, John Phillips (7), scholar, Elizabeth (5), scholar, Grace Jenkin (4), scholar, Richard (2), scholar, Charles (6 mo).
