In 1881 Benjamin Trewhella, aged 37, born in Crowan Cornwall, butcher & farmer of 15 acres, and wife Esther Trewhella, aged 35, born in Crowan, were living in North Tremayne, Crowan. Present were sons (born in Crowan): Thomas (12), scholar, William W. (2).

In 1891 Benjamin Trewhella, aged 47, born in Crowan, butcher, and wife Esther Trewhella, aged 45, born in Crowan, were living in N Tremayne, Crowan. With them were sons (born in Crowan): Thomas (22), butcher, Willie W. (12).

In 1901 Benjamin Trewhella, aged 59, born in Crowan, butcher & farmer, and wife Esther Trewhella, aged 55, were living in Tremayne Road, Crowan. With them was son William White Trewhella (22) of Crowan, butcher.
