FOUND DEAD ON HAYLE TOWANS.
Zachariah Blewett, quarryman, 69, left his home, Ventonleague, Hayle, on Thursday afternoon, to go to the Towans. Little notice was taken of his failure to return until after eleven, when search was made for him.
It was not until six o'clock on Friday morning that James Merrifield found him, lying dead on the Towans.
It is stated that deceased suffered from heart disease.
Another account says that Mr. Zachariah Blewett had always enjoyed good health and had never been under a doctor's care in his life. He went for a walk on the Towans with his spy-glass. As he did not return his wife stayed up all night for him in hopes of his returning.
Merryfield found him lying flat on his back, dead, with his spyglass by his side. Deceased was removed to his residence.
