  Research Notes:

In 1851 Mary Ann Hockin (18) of Gwithian, assists in the house,Jane Hockin were with their widowed mother Jane Hockin, staying with Jane Hockin's widowed mother Ann Ellis in Little Sellan, Sancreed, Cornwall.

In 1861 Mary Ann Marrack, aged 31, born in Gwithian Cornwall, and husband Philip Marrack, aged 31, yeoman of 60 acres, were living in Tregonebris, Sancreed. With them were son Richard H. H. (4 mo) of Sancreed, Mary Ann's widowed mother Jane Hockin (57) of Gwithian, and Mary Ann's sister Jane Hockin (29) of Gwithian.

In February 1865 Mary Ann Marrack, widow, was granted Letters of Administration of her late husband's personal estate.

In 1871 Mary Ann Hockin, aged 40, born in Gwithian, and [2nd] husband Richard Hockin, aged 27, born in Gwithian, farmer of 50 acres employing 2 men, were living in Little Vellen, Sancreed. With them were children (born in Illogan) Jane Ellis (3), Anna Elizabeth (2), and Charles (11 mo).

In 1881 Mary Ann Hockin, aged 50, born in Gwithian, and husband Richard Hockin, aged 37, born in Gwithian, farmer of 100 acres employing 2 laborers and 2 boys, were living in Church Town Farm, Gwithian. Present were children (born in Illogan) Jane Ellis (13), scholar, Anna Eliz: (12), scholar, Charles (10), scholar, John (9) of Sancreed, scholar, and Mary Ann's son R. H. H. Marrack (20) of Sancreed, farmer's son.

In 1889 Mary Ann Hockin of Gwithian, widow, was co-executor of her husband's will.

In 1891 Mary Ann Hockin, aged 60, born in Gwithian, widow, occupier of farm, was living in Connerton, Gwithian. With her were children (single) Jane Ellis (23) of Illogan, Anna Elizabeth (22) of Illogan, Charles (20) of Illogan, farmer's son, and John (19) of Sancreed, farmer's son.

In 1901 Mary Ann Hockin, aged 70, born in Gwithian, widow, living on own means, was in Churchtown, Gwithian. With her was son John Hockin (29) of Sancreed, widower, living on own means. Son Charles Hockin and his family were nextdoor on Churchtown Farm.

In 1911 Mary Ann Hockin, aged 80, born in Gwithian, widow, private means, was living in Glencoe, Gwithian.
