Born in Sithney where he lived until 5, when he and his parents moved to Wendron. At age of 8 went into a mine in that parish to work (3 years), then worked at several other mines until about 23, when he married, and moved to Calstock (14 years) where he rented several houses; last Christmas came to St Dominic [St Dominick] and rented house where he now lives.
