In 1780 Peter Ellis was a beneficiary of his father's will, receiving his estate and inheritance in fee in Sellan Vean in the parish of Sancreed.

Abstract of the Will of Peter Ellis of the Parish of Sancreed in the County of Cornwall, Yeoman, written 22 Jan 1803, proved 11 May 1803. 2

Gives to his son Peter Ellis and his heirs all his grist mills, his son paying to his sister Ann Ellis an annuity of £5 for the term of her natural life.

Gives to his wife his lease in Bosvennen for the term of her natural life.

Gives his lease in Great Cellan to his son Pascho Ellis, directing his son Peter to pay Pascho £50. Also give to his son Pascho Ellis his lease in Lesbue, appointing him sole executor his last will and testament.
