Abstract of the Will of Peter Curnow of the Parish of Gwithian in the County of Cornwall, Yeoman, written 12 Jan 1771, proved 7 May 1771. 6
Gives £100 to his daughter Anne the wife of Peter Ellis of the parish of Sancreed, yeoman. If his daughter Anne should survive her husband, he wills to her an annuity of £15 following his death and for the duration of her widowhood.
Gives £5 and all his clothing (except his silver buttons) to his nephew John Curnow, the son of his brother John Curnow.
Gives 3 guineas to his nephew Peter Curnow now abroad in the King's service, to be paid to him once he returns to his place of birth or surrounding neighbourhood.
Gives to his son-in-law Rowland Veale a scarf and a pair of gloves.
Gives to his son-in-law Peter Ellis a scarf and a pair of gloves.
Gives to his daughter Jane the wife of Rowland Veale of Gwithian his freehold lands, tenements & hereditaments in the parishes of Gwithian and Uny Lelant.
All the rest of his goods & chattels he gives to his daughter Jane Veale, appointing her sole executrix of his last will and testament.
