A John Pryor and Elizabeth Tippet were married earlier in the same year as John Pryor and Elizabeth Chigwidden. Both couples were having children in Wendron at the same time., With the exception of daughter Anne, it is not possible to determine which children belong to which couple. The one distinguishing feature is that the John Pryor who married Elizabeth Tippet was from Sithney according to the marriage record. He died in 1788 in Wendron, aged 42. He would have been the son of Henry and Margaret Pryor, born in Sithney in 1746. His widow Elizabeth re-married to James Edwards in Wendron in 1789. In 1793 Elizabeth the wife of James Edwards was granted Administration of the goods and chattels of John Pryor late her husband.
