In 1881 Joseph Sims, aged 42, born in Camborne, grocer, and wife E. J. Sims, aged 42, born in Camborne, were at 15 Edward St., Camborne. Present were children (born in Camborne) Louisa (13), scholar, Mary A. (12), scholar, Arthur J. (5), scholar, and Edgar (10m).

THE INTERMENT of Mr. Joseph Sims, aged 79 years, of Edward Street, who died on Sunday, January 19th, took place at Roskear Church on Thursday last, Revs. H. Wright and H. J. Cundy officiating. The bearers were Messrs. T. Burge, J. E. Andrew, C. C. Veale, N. Trethowan, W. Richards. The mourners were Messrs. E. Holman (grandsons), J. Arthur, Howard Temby, Harry Temby (nephews).... The deceased was for many years a member and a class leader of the Wesleyan Church, and was highly respected.
