In 1901 Thomas Collins, aged 24, trademan's clerk, was with his parents at Riverhall Mountfield Sussex.

In 1911 Thomas John Collins, aged 34, born in Lanivet Cornwall, commercial clerk, and wife of 5 years Christina Harriett Collins, aged 35, born in Brightling Sussex (no children), were living at The Stores, Hoath Hill, Mountfield near Robertsbridge, Sussex. With them was cousin Ernest Frank Croft (18) of Hastings, shop assistant.

In 1921 Thomas John Collins, aged 44 years 5 months, born in Lanivet nr Bodmin, commercial clerk, and wife Christina Harriet Collins, aged 46 years 2 months, born in Brightling, were living in Mountfield Stores, Mountfield. With them were son Hugh Christopher Brabyn Collins (6y 1m) of Mountfield, and niece Christina Harriet Croft (16y 7m) of Brightling, domestic & shop assistant.

In March 1924 Thomas John Collins, commercial clerk, was granted Administration of his late mother's personal estate.
