In Apr 1869 Eliza Filder Crowhurst was present at the marriage of her sister Harriett Crowhurst to William Burrell in Bexhill Sussex.

At the time of the 1871 Census Eliza F Crowhurst, age 37, born in Bexhill Sussex, unmarried, national schoolmistress, was with her widowed mother in Brickyard Row, Bexhill Sussex.

At the time of the 1881 Census Eliza Crowhurst, age 47, born in Bexhill Sussex, single, school mistress, was in Sidley Schools, Bexhill. With her were sister Harriett Burrell (36) of Bexhill, widow, annuitant, and nieces (born in Hastings) Harriett A Burrell (11), scholar, and Annie (9), scholar.

At the time of the 1891 Census Eliza F Crowhurst, age 57, born in Bexhill Sussex, single, national school mistress, was living in School House, Sidley Green, Brickyard Row, Bexhill.

At the time of the 1901 Census Eliza F Crowhurst, age 68, born in Bexhill Sussex, single, living on her own means, was with her brother Samuel Crowhurst and his family at 53 Alma, St. Matthew Sussex.

We regret to record the death of Miss Eliza Filder Crowhurst, which occurred at High-street, Hastings, on the 11th inst, at the age of 76 years.

The funeral took place on Tuesday at the Borough Cemetery. The Rev. H. J. Sanders officiated....
