At the time of the 1851 England Census John Mansbridge, aged 18, born in Portsea Hants, errand boy, was with his parents at 7 Cottage Place, St. George Bloomsbury Middlesex.
At the time of the 1861 England Census John J Mansbridge, aged 29, born in Portsmouth, hawker, and wife Sarah, aged 34, born in Barnet Herts, charwoman, were living at 5 Russell Pl, Bloomsbury Middlesex. With them were children (born in London): Elizabeth (8), scholar, Mary (5), scholar, and John (3 mo).
Unable to locate John after 1861. John and Sarah's youngest child, Charles William, was born in 1875; Sarah is shown as widowed in 1881, married in 1891 and widowed in the 1901 Census.
