In 1734 Joseph Davy was named as a beneficiary in the will of his uncle Joseph Harris of Camborne, to receive £5.

Gives to his wife Agnes one sixty-fourth part of in two copper mines called Reskeere and Wheal Hatchet in the parish of Camborne, along with all his household goods and furniture.
Gives an annuity of £5 to his brother John Davey.
Gives to his brother Thomas Davey one guinea of gold.
Gives to his sister Elizabeth Dunkin one guinea of gold.
Gives to his sister Dorcas Hocking one guinea of gold.
Lastly, he gives to William Davey and Richard Davey sons of his late brother William Davey, all the rest of his goods, chattels, adventures and effects, appointing them co-executors of his last will and testament.
