In 1871 William F. Marks, aged 32, born in Gwithian Cornwall, copper miner, and wife Elizabeth, aged 38 [sic], born in Redruth Cornwall, were living in Falmouth Rd., Redruth. With them were children (born in Redruth): Elizabeth (8), scholar, William (7), scholar, George (5), scholar, Thomas (3), and Levinia (1).

In 1881 W. F. Marks, aged 45, born in Gwithian Cornwall, tin miner, and wife Elizabeth, aged 43, born in Redruth Cornwall, were living in Gilbert Coombe, Redruth. Present were children, born (a) in Redruth: Elizabeth (20), housework, William (18), tin miner, George (16), tin miner, Thomas (14), tin miner, Lavinia (13), tailoress, James (11), and (b) in Illogan: Alfred (7), and Ellen (2).

In 1891 William F. Marks, aged 53, born in Gwithian Cornwall, tin miner, and wife Elizabeth, aged 54, born in Redruth Cornwall, were living in Portreath Rd., Redruth. With them were children (born in Redruth): Lavinia (22), tailoress, James (19), furnace stoker in a factory, Alfred (16), scholar and Ellen (12) of Illogan, scholar. Daughter Elizabeth Dyer and her family were living nextdoor.

In 1901 William F. Marks, aged 64, born in Gwithian, farmer, and wife Elizabeth, aged 65, born in Redruth, were living at Sparnon's Gate Redruth with children (born in Redruth): Thomas (33), farmer's son, James (29), brewery storeman, Alfred (26), brewery storeman, Ellen (22).

In February 1903 William Francis Marks, farmer, was granted Probate of the personal effects of his late son Thomas Marks.

In July 1903 William Francis Marks was present at the marriage of his daughter Ellen Marks to Albert Symons in Redruth.
