In 1861 Saml. Bamfield, aged 23, born in Falmouth, married, assistt. surgeon, about the vessel Barracouta.

In 1881 Samuel Bamfield, aged 43, born in Falmouth, staff surgeon, R.N., and wife Elizabeth Bamfield, aged 39, born in Redruth Cornwall, were living at 7 Heatham Park, Plymouth Charles the Martyr, Devon. With them were children (born in Stonehouse Devon) Harvey S. K.* (10), scholar, Mabel C. (8), scholar, Edith (5), scholar, and Mildred U (2) of Plymouth.
