In 1861 Emma Terril, aged 24, born in Camborne Cornwall, husband Stephen Terril, aged 25, born in Camborne, blacksmith, and children (born in Camborne) Henry V. Terril (3) and Samuel J. Terril (1), were staying with Emma's widowed mother, Emma Vivian (55), in College Row, Camborne.

In 1871 Emma Terrill, aged 34, born in Camborne, blacksmith's wife, was living in College St., Camborne. With her children (born in Cornwall) Henry V. (13), scholar, Samuel J. (11), tin dresser assistant, and Mary V. (7), scholar.
