His name suggests that he was closely related to Graf Ratpoto [I] but this has not been verified by any primary source which has been consulted. "Henricus…rex" granted property "predium Slierbach in comitatu Radpotonis in pago Oliupestale" to the church of Salzburg by charter dated 7 Dec 1006.

Graf im oberen Traungau. Wegener refers to a source dated [1020] which names Graf Ratpoto and his son Dietbald.

The necrology of Mondsee records the death "Id Jun" of "com Ratpoto".

The name of Ratpoto's wife is not known. ¹
