  Research Notes:

In 1662 Ann Taylor received from her late husband's Will £20, his house and garden and associated land called Sicklehatch for the term of her natural life, along with twelve bushells of wheat, eight of corn malt, half his household stuff and a heifer.

Abstract of the Will of Ann Taylor of Heathfield in the County of Sussex, Widow, written 17 Feb 1666, proved 5 Nov 1666. 5

Gives to her eldest son Nathaniel Taylor a feather bed with feather bolsters, and a blanket.

Gives to Nathaniel's three daughters three pair of sheets.

Gives to her grandson Nathaniel Taylor one . . . . . . . that . . . . . . at Richard Mascols to James Taylor her grandson one piece of pewter.

Gives to the children of her daughter Alse Tiseherst a pair of sheets each, along with pillowcases, four pewter . . . . . . . , £5 which is in the hands of Christopher Worger, and a little joined chest.

Gives to her daughter Alse Tiseherst five pair of sheets, two pair of pillowcases, two pillows, one great joined chest, one small joined box, an assortment of brass implements, an iron kettle, two tablecloths, three long towels, two napkins, pewter plateware and other items.

Gives to the wife of her son Nathaniel a broad cloth waistcoat, one . . . . . . . petticoat.

Gives to her servant Elizabeth Taylor three sheets, a pillowcase, a . . . . . . . bed, a bolster and blanket, her working-day waistcoat, a green petticoat, and other items.

Gives one shilling to her daughter Woollet.

Makes her son James Taylor the sole executor of her last will and her residuary legatee.
