At the time of the 1881 England Census Albert Thos. Callaway, aged 32, born in Detling Kent, unmarried, carpenter & joiner, was living at 7 Park Road, Sittingbourne Kent. With him were mother Maria Callaway (70) of Iwade Kent, widow, and sister Emma Callaway (39) of Detling, unmarried.

At the time of the 1891 England Census Albert T Callaway, aged 42, born in Detling Kent, carpenter, and wife Caroline E, aged 41, born in Chatham Kent, were living at 46 Park Rd., Sittingbourne Kent. With them was son Albert W (8) of Sittingbourne.

At the time of the 1901 England Census Albert T Callaway, aged 52, born in Detling Kent, joiner & builder, and wife Caroline E, aged 51, born in Chatham Kent, were living at 46 Park Rd., Sittingbourne Kent. With them was son Albert W (18) of Sittingbourne, surveyor's architect pupil.

DEATH OF MR. A. T. CALLAWAY—Last week we briefly recorded the death of Mr. Albert T Callaway, who carried on a business of carpenter and undertaker, the sad event taking place quite suddenly on Friday morning at his residence, Park-road, Sittingbourne. Mr. Callaway had complained overnight of a pain in his chest. Early on Friday morning it was noticed that he was seriously ill, and medical aid was summoned, but he died shortly afterwards, from heart weakness. Mr. Callaway had been treated for this weakness before. The deceased, who was much respected, was 58 years of age. He leaves a widow and one son. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon, the interment being in Sittingbourne Cemetery. The burial service was conducted by the Rev. Mr. Delling, pastor of the Milton Congregational Church. The mourners were Mr. A. C. Callaway* (son), Mr. F. Callaway, Sheerness (brother), Mr. W. Jolly (brother-in-law), Mr. B. Rossiter, Mr. J. Hinge (Iwade), Mr. E. Anderson, Mr. A Hinge (Borden), Mr. Miskin, Mr. H. Rossiter, Mr. C. Packer, Captain Lawrence, and Mr. J. Barter representing the local Lodge of Oddfellows, Manchester Unity), of which the deceased had been a member....
