At the time of the 1881 England Census Charles E Mepham, age 8, born in Lambeth Surrey, scholar, was with his parents in Chapter Terrace, Newington London.

At the time of the 1891 England Census Charles Edwd. Mepham, age 18, born in Lambeth Surrey, piano forte tuner, was with his brother John Culley Mepham and his family at 35 Talma Rd., Lambeth.

At the time of the 1911 England Census Charles Edward Mepham, age 38, born in Lambeth London, sub conductor (Army Ordnance Corps), and wife of 11 years Ellen Minnie, age 37, born in Sheerness Kent (mother of 2 children), were living at 21 High Street, Weedon Beck, Northamptonshire. With them were children Marjorie Minnie (8) of Hong Kong S. China, school, and Cyril Charles (6) of Woolwich Kent, school.

In the 1939 Register Charles E Mepham (b. 10 Feb 1873), retired Captain R.A.O.C., and wife Ellen M Mepham (b. 19 Dec 1873), unpaid domestic duties, were living at Montaza, Minster, Kent. At the same address was [daughter] Marjorie M Mepham (b. 1 May 1902), unpaid domestic duties.
