At the time of the 1871 England Census Joseph T Mepham, age 12, born in Bromley Middlesex, scholar, was with his mother 12 Dous Street West, St. Mary Lambeth, Surrey.

At the time of the 1881 England Census Joseph Mepham, age 22, born in Bromley Middlesex, fitter, and wife Lilly [sic], age 21, born in Pembroke S Wales, were living at 38 Slengall Rd., Poplar London.

At the time of the 1891 England Census Joseph T Mepham, age 32, born in Poplar London, steam engine fitter, and wife Eliza J, age 31, born in Pembroke Dock S Wales, were living at 3 Richmond Rd., New Brompton, Gillingham Kent. With them were daughters Phebe L (6) of Pembroke Dock, scholar, Daisy L (4) of Portsea Hants, scholar, and Ada M (1) of Gillingham Kent.

In Oct 1896 Joseph Thomas Mepham, engine fitter, was granted Probate of his late father's personal effects.

At the time of the 1901 England Census Joseph T Mepham, age 42, born in Poplar London, engine fitter, and wife Eliza J, age 41, born in Pembroke S. Wales, were living at 30 St. Mary's St., Lambeth London.
