A manuscript which narrates the descents of the founders of Lanthony Abbey records that “Reginaldus de Brews” married “filiam domini Willielmus de la Bruere”. A manuscript recording the heirs of William de Briouse records that “Willielmus de Breus” married "Graciam primogenitam et unam hæredum Willielmi Briwere". 2

(Reginald de Braose was born about 1179 in Bramber, Sussex, England, died before 9 Jun 1228 in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, Wales and was buried in Priory Church, Brecon, Breconshire, Wales.)
