In July 1827 Gilbert Roberts of the parish of Camborne, mine agent, was granted Administration of his father's goods.
In 1841 Gilbert Roberts, aged about 45, born in the county, mine agent, and (2nd) wife Mary Roberts, aged about 45, born in the county, were living in St. Erth Lane, St. Erth, Cornwall. With them was daughter Margaret (6).

Abstract of the Will of Gilbert Roberts of Goldsithney in the Parish of Perranuthnoe and County of Cornwall, Mine Agent, written 5 Feb 1847, proved 1 Jun 1847. 4
Gives to his wife Mary Roberts and to his daughter Margaret Jane Roberts an annuity of £30 while they remain single and live together. Gives an annuity of £12 to his wife Mary Roberts following the death or marriage of their daughter, for as long as she remains a widow.
All the rest of his estate, effects, household furniture, goods & chattels he gives to his daughter Margaret Jane Roberts, once she turns twenty-one. If she dies unmarried or without children, then he gives the same to his brothers and sisters.
Nominates Capt. John Richards and Stephen Eddy junr guardians of his wife and daughter, appointing them executors in trust of his last will and testament.
