In 1841 Joseph Williams, aged about 75, born in the county, mason, and wife Martha Williams, aged about 75, born in the county, were living in Praze, Crowan. Present were [daughter] Elizabeth Williams (30) and [granddaughter] Elizabeth Williams (12).

Joseph Williams of Crowan died aged 86 years (burial record).

Joseph married widow Martha Carnsew, daughter of Thomas Trewhela of Crowan and Martha Blewett, on 22 Jun 1788 in Crowan, Cornwall. (Martha Trewhela was born in 1764 in Crowan, Cornwall, christened on 19 Jan 1765 in Crowan, Cornwall and was buried on 10 May 1850 in Crowan, Cornwall.)
