Mr. Wilshire came to Newquay for the benefit of his health, and had always, during his residence, been more or less of an invalid. About four months ago he had a severe attack of heart trouble, to which he eventually succumbed.

The funeral took place on Monday at the new cemetery, and was conducted by Canon Thornton. The first portion of the service was read in the church, and both at the church and graveside a large number of residents gathered to pay their last respects to deceased who was generally esteemed. The bearers were local tradesmen : Messrs. G. Clifford, J. P. Teague, F. E. Williams, Martin Williams, Bert Clemens, and Daniels. The mourners were Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Wilshire, London (brother and sister-in-law), Miss Hooper, London ; Miss Hooper, Newquay ; Mr. Bailey, Camborne ; Mr. and Mrs. Hooper, Newquay ; Mr. Bassett and Miss Bassett....
